What should I look for when choosing a retirement community?
Whether you’re moving into a retirement community or a new three-story house, you want it to feel like home. A retirement community is not a facility, it’s a family. At Church of God Home, we truly are committed to providing our residents with a comfortable, interactive and family atmosphere. We provide a sense of community, offering options that don’t limit residents. Residents leave the Home for activities, enjoy games and events on-site, and receive round-the-clock care from compassionate and respected staff. Our continued purpose is to offer the knowledge and support needed to make your residency with us the most relaxing it can possibly be, with a clean, fresh environment.
Just as you would when purchasing a new house, we encourage you to get to know our staff and residents by visiting the Church of God Home. You will always find a person willing to show you around, or sit down and share a story.
What living options are offered at Church of God Home?
The Church of God Home offers living options based on the level of assistance you or your family member desires. At the Church of God Home, four levels of residency are available:
How do I know when I should begin to look into living at a retirement community?
People begin to look at retirement communities for various reasons. The most common reasons are forgetting to take medications, poor diet, illness, desire for extra support or assistance, and the inability to maintain home upkeep.
How much does the Church of God Home cost?
Pricing for the Church of God Home depends on the level of assistance. To determine what you or your family member’s needs are, contact us and we’ll be happy to meet with you.
Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
Yes, the Church of God Home accepts both Medicare and Medicaid.
Am I required to observe the Church of God religion if I am a resident?
No. The Church of God Home accepts all religious affiliations.
How large is the Church of God Home?
We have more than 200 residents.
Are pets allowed at the Church of God Home?
Residents may not have any pets while living at the Church of God Home. However, pets are allowed to visit, as long as they remain on a leash.
What if I am on a special diet?
The Church of God Home dining services can accommodate special dietary needs.
Can my family come to visit?
Yes, family and friends are more than welcome to visit the Church of God Home. There are no set hours for visitation. Residents may leave with family members for the day, overnight or vacation.
I think about them whenever I go home. I come in here a lot on my days off because I care about them so much and I want to make sure they’re okay whenever I’m gone.
